A new book by Scott Oldford
ADHD, Entrepreneurship, and the Wiring That Builds and Buries
Every business you built, you built with a brain they told you was broken.
You can build at 2am in a fever you didn't choose, and lose an entire Tuesday to a task that needed ten minutes.
Maybe you've made real money and watched it disappear just as fast.
Maybe there's a stack of unopened envelopes somewhere, and you already know what's inside them.
Maybe the launch high is the only time you feel fully alive. And the week after cart close is a hole nobody warned you about.
Everyone around you seems to run at a normal temperature. You run at a boil or you run cold.
There is no middle. Nobody built a business book for that brain. This one is.
The book
How to build a business that succeeds, sustains, and doesn't crash. Drawn from over twenty years of living it.

Why I wrote this
I sold eggs door to door at seven years old because sitting still felt like dying.
By sixteen I was running a seven-figure agency before I could legally drive to my own meetings.
By twenty-one I had collapsed under $726,000 of debt.
I rebuilt. Then I built again, bigger. And I found myself on a bathroom floor in the middle of my first million-dollar month, unable to stand up.
The business was working. I wasn't.
I am not telling you that to impress you. I am telling you because I did all of it with the exact brain a dozen people told me was the problem. And most days it still does not feel like winning.
Divine Madness is the book I needed on that bathroom floor.
The madman and the genius swim in the same pond. For most of my life I tried to drown one of them.
This book is what happened when I stopped.
The brain you actually have. Why you build at a boil and stall cold, why the name arrived so late, and what productive even means for a brain like this.
$726K at twenty-one. The rollercoaster years. The launch drug. The year I tried to be a king. The bathtub. What this wiring costs when nobody builds around it.
The Dial. Capacity before calendar. The External Brain. The Thermostat. The structure that lets the same wiring build instead of bury.
Marketing, sales, offers, delivery, operations and finance, run by a brain that goes prolific, then silent.
The people who live with it. The reality distortion field. Building for the crash. Still in it. And the first ninety days of running it differently.
Every chapter ends with a short "Your Turn," so you do something with it the same night.
Is this book for you
The ones who have never been sure whether they're the genius or the madman. You're both. That's the point.
Tap the ones that are you. Keep counting.
The emotional truth
This is not a productivity book.
The last time I was truly sick, I lay in the guest room through Thanksgiving and Christmas, too wrecked to come downstairs to my own family. On Christmas I made it down for less than an hour before my body sent me back up.
I remember the day after Christmas more clearly than the day itself.
I lay in that room and I prayed. Not elegantly. Not spiritually. Just a scared man asking for something small. I did not ask to be healed. I did not ask for the money or the business or any of it.
I asked to feel a little better. Just enough to go downstairs and sit on the floor and play with my son.
That was the whole prayer. The man who used to want empires, asking only to be well enough to sit with his boy.
This book is what I learned on the way to that floor, and on the way back up.
If you have ever been sure you are a genius and a disaster in the same hour, it will read like someone followed you around and took notes.

Hardcover
Why $12? Price shouldn't be the thing standing between you and the book that explains your own brain to you. And when you pay even a little for a book, you actually read it.
Why a hardcover? A real copy gets dog-eared, underlined, argued with, and left where you can see it on the hard weeks. The screen version informs you. The desk version reminds you.
Questions
No. Productivity books teach you to act like a different brain. This book builds structure around the one you have.
If the list above read like your biography, yes. The book is about the wiring, and you know whether you have it. I wasn't diagnosed until I was thirty.
Lived. Every chapter runs on real events. The collapse, the debt, the bathroom floor, the rebuild. The framework was earned, then named. The science is cited in the back, source by source.
The digital edition is a PDF and an ePub, delivered the minute you buy. The ePub works on Kindle, Apple Books and most reading apps. The hardcover is a 6 x 9 hardback, printed to order and shipped to US addresses, and it comes with the digital edition too.
Each copy is printed to order. Most arrive two to three weeks after you order. You get the digital edition right away, so you can start reading tonight.
It's a full book, about six hours start to finish. The chapters are short and each one stands on its own, because it was written by someone who abandons books too.
If the digital book doesn't land for you, email support@scottoldford.com within 30 days and we'll refund the $12. No hoops. If your hardcover arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photo and we'll send a new one.
Not yet. For now the hardcover ships to US addresses only. The digital edition works anywhere.
About the author
Scott Oldford is an entrepreneur, mentor, investor and author who has spent more than twenty years building, scaling and backing businesses. He has done all of it with the exact wiring this book is about.
He has mentored over 10,000 entrepreneurs, helped generate more than a billion dollars in client revenue, and been featured in Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur and Business Insider. He has also lost it all, owed $726,000 at twenty-one, and rebuilt from the floor. That's the part that actually qualified him to write this.
Divine Madness is the book he needed twenty years ago. It makes one argument. The brain they told you was broken is the same one that builds, and it needs a container that keeps it from burying you.
